- Work load record: Sunday 4pm-10pm then Monday 8 am start, Tuesday 7 pm end (with two 30 mins sunned breaks for sleep) - actually I am gratefull I was "allowed" to make it. Something I would rather prefer not to repeat, nevertheless this is the way you extend your boundaries.
- 4 pay raises. The last one was the smalles one (percentually). Is there something I am missing?
- Bunch of colleagues I enjoy working with. One of the things I trully appreciate - and so do the others I believe.
- 10 major projects (and several ones where I just supported someone by sharing knowledge and many many business proposals) I was involved in. At least three of them made it to the headlines of newspapers. Another thing keeping motivation up.
- Dealing predominantly with Czech public sector. Constantly demanding (in terms of keepin morale up), sometimes rewarding (to be a part of something bigger), occasioanally funny (both main sources of the best stories were guys in rather higher positions), from time to time sad (when you realize that these stories are financed by your taxes).
- Some kilograms gained (due to combination of office work, several good restaurants in the neighbourghood and lack of time for serious sports; not that many). It is getting better.
- Pretty improved MS Office skills. Much better in formulation and approach to project assignments. This is one of the best rewards.
- Regrets of the time waisted at university. I could get much more. Only if I was more focused - or the professors were better.
View from Ben Nevis
No idea of how many years in management consulting are ahead. From 1 to 10 I guess. Everything is possible. And everything counts :-).
