One of tiny dreams

One of my dreams (just wondering whether it fits to those which become true) is to live in a garden plot in a tiny "house" - or simply in a building which is as small as possible. It does not necessarily be in a Finnish wood as the house presented, a hidden lot somewhere in Prague would be more than enough.

I just like the idea of satisfying some needs with so little with so little further stress related to maintenance and so on. What do you think?

...and enjoying two days off.

Just browsing and catching feelings and ideas.

Tomorrow I will again swim in a cold river - this time it will be Labe in Pardubice, expected temperature around 10 degrees (update: 8 degrees and sunny). That could be a good preparation for an arctic journey :-).
In the meantime to train my brain too I discovered this list of thought experiments. Well, nothing really deep, yet good for refreshing one's mind.
Felling a little bit blue I would appreciate if a blond girl from Sweden would appear here suddenly and ask: how do you do? This kind of mood can force you to start thinking of something that lasts and express your emotions in an original way. Or start taking great pictures. Or just get drunk.
I would probably feel best hiding in a DIY home somewhere in the woods. And thinking of distant cold places.

So this is the way I am spending my time. Sometimes you need this kind of black hole in your relatively productively spent time.

Vypada to na vytrvalost - neco, co bych u sebe uplne nehledal, ale koneckoncu, je to hlavne zabava: psat a tu a tam u toho i premyslet. A tesit se, sem tam, na nejaky ten komentar.

Takze - dvousty prispevek na blogu (tedy pokud system nelze). Vydrzel jsem psat 4 mesice z Helsinek, tak proc ne.

Prvni prispevek je z 26.9.2006. To je priblizne 4,5 prispevku na mesic.

O cem jsem to vlastne psal (viz stitky vpravo - oznaceni neni 100% konzistentni, ale o necem vypovida)? 62 prispevku obsahuje obrazky, 54 se nejakym zpusobem tyka spolecnosti, 48 jsem z tech ci onech duvodu oznacil jako Metaphysique. 38 je psano v anglictine, 24 se tyka rozumu a 20 jsem oznacil jako Da-da. A 18 se tyka umeni. Vzato kolem a kolem, cele to pusobi jako nejaka kompenzace za praci. Asi jo, proc ne. A nebo je to proste zpusob meho mysleni a pocitu. Asi.

Co me prave ted zajima a o cem bych chtel psat? Aspon jeden delsi citat. Snad bude jasne, co jsem tim chtel rici: "Urcite statistiky se snad nikdy nezmeni: pocet zaku propadajicich na zakladni skole, procento rozvodu, pocet danovych podvodu na pocet obyvatel. Totez platilo i o poctu leteckych nehod zpusobenych chybou pilota. Navzdory rade opatreni v leteckem provozu, od povinneho volna pro piloty az po intezivnejsi vyuku, v celem obdobi od roku 1940 az do roku 1990 procento chyb nechtelo klesat a zustavalo kolem 65 procent nezavisle na tom, o ktere letadlo slo, ci kam letelo. Podle nejnovejsich statistik stoji chyba posadky za necelymi 30 procenty vsech leteckych nestesti a nehody vyvolane chybnym rozhodnutim klesly o 71 procent. V dusledku toho je cestovani letadly bezpecnejsi nez kdy jindy. (...) Od roku 2001 doslo v USA pouze k jedne letecke katastrofe, kterou zavinila chyba pilota, prestoze kazdy den v USA startuje tricet tisic letadel. (...) Letove simulatory zpusobily revoluci v treninku pilotu. 'Stara metoda pripravy pilotu byla s kridou u tabule' (...) Nez mohli drive piloti vubec usednout do kokpitu, museli absolvovat spoustu prednasek v ucebnach. Vsechny zakladni manevry potrebne k pilotovani se ucili na zemi. Rovnez se ucili, jak reagovat v pripade ruznych katastrofickych scenaru. Co udelate, kdyz se podvozek nevysune? Nebo kdyz letadlo zasahne blesk. 'Tenhle pristup ma jednu vadu' (...) 'vsechno je to jenom teorie. Pilost se tohle vsechno naucil, ane nidky si to nevyzkousel'. (...)

Blahodarne pusobeni letovych simulatoru spociva v tom, ze piloti maji moznost tyto nove vedomosti prozit. Misto aby se pilot postupy ucil nazpamet, muze trenovat svuj emocni mozek, muze ucit ty casti kury mozkove, ktere ve vzduchu skutecne rozhoduji. Diky tomu, kdyz jsou konfrontovani s nejakou katastrofickou situaci pri skutecnem letu (...) piloti uz vedi co delat. Nemusi marit kriticke minuty tim, ze se snazi vzpomenou si, co se v ucebne ucili." (Lehrer, Jonah: Jak se rozhodujeme, Dokoran, 2009, s.279-280)

Lze argumentovat tim, ze letecka doprava je specificka: urovni sofistikovanosti, nakladnosti a co ja vim cim jeste. Ale nakonec je to jen lidske snazeni - a myslim, ze u kazdeho lidskeho snazeni lze zlepsovat zpusob, jakym se v nich rozhodujeme.

Nadeje existuje.

A abych nezapomnel: rano jdu ke kostelu do Resslovky. Tak si taky vzpomente na ty bajecny kluky!

Finlandia

They say that you must be Czech to fully undersantd (or rather feel) Ma vlast (or My Fatherland) by Bedrich Smetana. Probably the same is true for Jeane Sibeliu's Finlandia. Yet I really do enjoy it - and feel the spirit of this masterpiece: something mysterious, full of inner tension, inner strength and joy (go to 3:34) and great yet hidden feelings.

Kaamos in a Lappish Cabin

For me this looks like holidays from heaven. "A remote cabin during polar night with nothing but snow, ice, and silence around, over 300 km north of the Arctic Circle." Actually they say that the polar night is not that dard - that might discourage me ;-). I would prefer darkness I think. And the colder the better.

Which direction?

When winter is a distant memory

Soon the days will start becoming shorter...

I believe the ideal place to celebrate the longest day is - Finland with its wilde nature and looong days (those of you who know me may know my pretty positivie feelings towards Finland).

Keeping the sea lines open

Some of you may know my obsession with icebreakers - I dont mean the short activities for warming up a group of people but the real ships. It is hard to say where does this interest come from. Basically there may be these reasons behind: I like big powerful machines, I like winter, ice and the like, and I also like the sense of responsibility related to the importance of such a machine that so many people rely on.
You may not share this obsession, however you may like the picture published on Virtual Finland. Check the slideshow.
Just a short introduction: "Icebreakers are more than mere motor ships. They are part of Finland's cold weather culture, and admired accordingly. Apart from their image as princes of the sea lanes, they are essential for the economy."

Nejak me zaclo bavit komentovat clanky na ilistu. Tentokrate to odnesl jeden o ustnich zkouskach ve Finsku a jeden o studiu v zahranici (ponekud jsem si smlsnul na sefredaktorovi :-)).
