A true passion

No matter what management theory says I believe what makes a company successful is passion. Passion which you can see everywhere. Unfortunately, it seems to me that such a passion is natural only with small organizations. How do you know a company is passionate about its "topic"? Actually – just by feeling it (ok, that doesn't sound like a well prepared theory but it makes sense, at least for now).
I had exactly such a feeling when browsing the site of Stanceworks. Great pictures, great stories and - a great product. Even though I am not a big fan of lowriders I simple love the pics – sorry, the cars.

Two pieces of modern art. For me a kind of proof that art really matters. Especially when you feel like like touching something "behind" or the hidden reality which is all around us.

Akce Pameti naroda

Mozna jste uz slyseli o vystave na Karlove namesti, ktera pripomina kulisy koncentracniho tabora a slouzi jako pripomenuti antetu na R. Heydricha a pribehu s nim souvisejicich. Vystava je poradana sdruzenim Post Bellum, jehoz jsem podporovatelem. Zde je prehled akci na pristi tyden, ktere jiste stoji za navstevu:

• po 11. června 18.00 - gen. Tomáš Sedláček - beseda s válečným veteránem, který absolvoval výsadkářské kurzy ve Velké Británii
• út 12. června 18.00 - Vojtěch Kyncl - beseda s odborníkem z Památníku Lidice na téma právní a diplomatické dozvuky druhého stanného práva uprostřed Evropy
• st 13. června 18.00 - Jan Sedmidubský (Český rozhlas) - beseda s odborníkem na filmovou vědu a rozhlasové archivy o dobovém rozhlasovém vysílání s ukázkami z archivu Českého rozhlasu
• po 18. června 16.00 - Taxmeni - benefiční koncert country skupiny, jehož výtěžek bude věnován na obnovu rodinného domku Jana Kubiše
• po 18. června 17.30 - zádušní mše - sbor La Grande Bande (kostel sv. Ignáce, Karlovo nám.)

Je uzasne, co jsou lide schopni zorganizovat.

One of tiny dreams

One of my dreams (just wondering whether it fits to those which become true) is to live in a garden plot in a tiny "house" - or simply in a building which is as small as possible. It does not necessarily be in a Finnish wood as the house presented, a hidden lot somewhere in Prague would be more than enough.

I just like the idea of satisfying some needs with so little with so little further stress related to maintenance and so on. What do you think?
